  1. Sadly, I didn’t share your outlook. I just kept sitting there saying, “So, she was bashing Barack’s lack of experience before, but now she’s backing him?” … politics…. that’s all I can conjure up at the moment. *shaking head*. I’m sure you understand what it’s all about way better than me but to someone who is totally on the outside taking an interest — it is so contradictory, it’s sick. But, that’s the name of the game.
She did a good job of doing what she had to do, politically. Unity, party, rah rah, and all that. But plenty of pundits observed that she still hasn’t said she thinks he’s qualified to be president (that was her big thing against him in the primaries). And they’re right (I got all jazzed and overlooked that little detail). Hillary lost this round (’08), but she’ll be back. Bill’s speech tonight will most certainly keep that door open.

  2. I blogged just about the same, Pied.

If she had done the same during the primaries I think it would be a matter of Obama speaking about her.

    Great speech.
Agreed. If she’d sounded like that throughout the primaries, this could have been a very different convention.
