Webcams are like a box of chocolates
There are great photos by great photographers, like the one in the previous post, and then there are lucky screen grabs from distant webcams. I caught this one this afternoon when I checked my favorite Estes Park, Colo., webcams to see if it was snowing up there. Normally this is an unremarkable view of the YMCA conference center in the valley below, but today was quite different. The lighting here is from (a) snow, (b) clouds/fog, (c) the camera’s inability to adapt to lower-light situations, or (d) all of the above. In any case, I love the moody result.
